Dear friends and neighbors,
I’ve been busy knocking on doors and
holding Listening Sessions throughout the 47th Assembly
District since January. People across the district have told me that
they are concerned about the economy and taxes, the high cost of
health care and the growing number of people without health
insurance. They’re concerned about the environment and global
warming, the difficulty that our rural schools are experiencing due
to a broken funding system and the fact that our legislators are so
polarized that just getting a budget done on time is a challenge.
While special interest groups are busy
influencing our legislators, the people’s interests have been
neglected. It’s time for real representation for the 47th! We need
leaders who are willing to work together in order to get things done.
As a Registered nurse, recent past
president of the Columbus School Board and community leader, I have
the experience, vision and leadership to get things done.
I will work hard to create jobs,
provide access to affordable quality healthcare for all, protect our
environment, champion a reform of our public school funding system,
update our tax system and push for campaign finance reform.
I’m looking forward to meeting more
of you over the next few months and hearing your concerns so that I
can better represent you in Madison.
VOTE! September 9th
